About Us
At the LRCCS we provide high quality, affordable child care and early education services for families of the greater Lakes Region.
History
Lakes Region Child Care Services was founded in 1967. Since then, LRCCS has continued the commitment to respond to the childcare needs in the communities of the Lakes area.
Our Programs
LRCCS is recognized for high quality programming and is Licensed Plus status with the State of NH. LRCCS serves nutritious meals and snacks in all programs through Child and Adult Care Food Programs (CACFP) and is a Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment for Child Care or NAP SACC pilot program as well as a pilot program for the nationally recognized early childhood curriculum I AM MOVING, I AM LEARNING.
We Care For Children
Last year LRCCS provided over 50,000 days of care to over 350 children, from 20 towns in and around the Lakes Region, allowing parents to work or go to school knowing that their child is in a good place.
Over the past five years, LRCCS has significantly increased its capacity for high quality programming. This process began with participation in Quality Matters, a pilot program funded by Providian Financial, providing training to child care programs in classroom assessment, and grant funds for implementation of improvements, based on those assessments. Using the same assessment tools, classroom self-assessments are done in each of our classrooms on an annual basis.
Lakes Region Child Care Services is the second oldest nonprofit childcare in the state of NH and is governed by a volunteer board, and managed by an executive director.
